Amcor in Franklin, IN is seeking a forklift operator to support production by loading materials, transferring finished goods to staging, and ensuring on-time loading onto trucks.
Responsibilities include operating forklift safely, printing/scanning Bill of Lading, inspecting finished goods, maintaining logs, and communicating with other departments to meet delivery requirements. Candidates need a high school diploma and forklift certification.

SUMMARY Operates and maintains forklift to supply production operations with raw materials to produce finished product, transfers finished product to storage or staging area and ensures finished product is loaded onto trucks in a timely manner to meet customers delivery requirements.

High School diploma or general education (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
A valid driver's license and forklift certification are required. The forklift certification must meets OSHA requirements and is required to perform the essential duties of this job.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand or walk for 12 hours, regularly required to sit for 12 hours, and is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to communicate with other employees and be aware of sounds in the plant. The employee must also frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
Job is performed near moving mechanical parts and occasionally in outdoor weather. Safety glasses are required to be worn. The noise level is loud, requiring hearing protection to be worn. GMP procedures are observed in all areas of the plant.
