Position Summary

The Forklift Operator operates power industrial trucks to move, locate, and stack merchandise, ensuring safety and efficiency. Responsibilities include accurate storing, shipping, and receiving of products, adhering to safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Receiving/Put-Away: Unload shipments, move products to storage, and input data into WMS.
• Order Picking: Prepare products for shipment, perform picking duties efficiently.
• Quality: Ensure shipments are accurate and undamaged, report variances.
• Delivery: Move products to staging areas, ensure proper documentation.
• Inventory: Maintain records, assist in inventories, ensure stock rotation.
• Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance: Maintain clean work areas, operate equipment safely, follow policies.
• Maintenance: Assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance.
• Other Duties: Participate in facility maintenance, work overtime as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 6 months experience in logistics/distribution
• Ability to operate MHE

Certificates and Licenses

• Forklift training certification

Skills and Abilities

• Basic computer skills, RF scanners, WMS familiarity
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, verbal)
• Basic math skills for inventory and handling
• Attention to detail, ability to work independently, adaptable to change

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years warehouse/logistics experience
• Forklift experience and certification

Physical Demands

• Handling, sitting, bending, walking, standing, lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds, reaching, squatting, kneeling

Work Environment
