Position Summary

The Forklift Operator operates power industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Responsible for safe and efficient vehicle operation, and may also perform Order Filler and Checker duties. Ensures accurate storing, shipping, and receiving of products in line with safety, security, and productivity standards. As part of the DSV team, employees are expected to meet performance, safety, and quality objectives, and comply with all policies.

Responsibilities include:

1. Receiving/Put-Away: Unload inbound shipments, move products to storage, input data into WMS, maintain organized work area.
2. Order Picking: Select and prepare products for shipment, perform picking efficiently, prepare freight accurately and timely.
3. Quality Control: Ensure shipments are accurate and damage-free, report variances.
4. Delivery: Move products to staging or production areas, ensure proper documentation.
5. Inventory Management: Maintain records, assist with inventories, ensure stock rotation.
6. Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean workspace, operate equipment safely, perform minor maintenance, and comply with SOPs.
7. Maintenance & Other Duties: Assist with facility maintenance, change fuel tanks, repair pallets, support a safe environment, and perform other duties as needed. Overtime may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• 6 months experience in logistics/distribution
• Ability to operate MHE
• Forklift certification

Skills & Abilities:

• Basic computer skills, RF scanners, WMS familiarity
• English proficiency
• Attention to detail, ability to work independently, adaptability

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-2 years warehouse/logistics experience
• Forklift experience and certification

Physical Demands & Environment:

Physical activities include handling, fingering, sitting, bending, walking, standing, lifting/carrying (up to 50 pounds), reaching, squatting, kneeling.
