Job description

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

1. Design and improve manufacturing processes for high-quality medical device components, leveraging statistical analysis and lean principles.
2. Develop and enhance automation solutions, including robotics, vision systems, and material handling systems.
3. Evaluate and recommend equipment and suppliers to support manufacturing projects.
4. Create and manage engineering change requests and establish standards for new or changed processes.
5. Provide training and support to ensure the successful implementation of new or updated processes.
6. Implement design for manufacturability (DFM) and drive continuous improvement efforts.
7. Evaluate new equipment, conduct FAT, and validate equipment using IQ, OQ, and PQ protocols.
8. Design and integrate electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems for automated systems.
9. Develop control software for PLCs, PCs, HMIs, servo motors, and industrial test systems.
10. Lead the integration and programming of robotic and vision systems.
11. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring reliability and performance.
12. Partner with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to ensure smooth transitions for new products and processes.
13. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, codes, and standards.
14. Promote a culture of safety, adhering to GMP and ISO 13485 standards.
15. Implement and uphold safety protocols for equipment and processes.
