Description

The Forklift Driver plays a key support role in the operations of a food manufacturing facility by ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient movement of materials, supplies, and finished products. This team member helps maintain a smooth flow of production by loading, unloading, transporting, and organizing goods throughout the facility while adhering to strict safety and sanitation standards.

Location: Vans Kitchen, Dallas, TX

Compensation: $17.00 - $18.00 / hour

Description

The Forklift Driver plays a key support role in the operations of a food manufacturing facility by ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient movement of materials, supplies, and finished products. This team member helps maintain a smooth flow of production by loading, unloading, transporting, and organizing goods throughout the facility while adhering to strict safety and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities


Essential Job Duties – Required but not limited to the following

• Operate equipment with caution & safety.
• Help maintain a safe & clean work environment throughout facility.
• Labeling, sorting, and relocating items within the warehouse.
• Managing inventory by using scanning system & proper bin allocation.
• Documentation of material usage using detailed information.
• Identify & report any damages, shortages, or quality deficiencies of materials.
• Transport raw materials to production work stations.
• Conduct complete inventory counts as needed upon supervisor request (Dry storage, coolers & freezers).
• In the absence of a forklift operator, another operator will cover his/her responsibilities if needed.
• Other duties as requested by management.

• Up to date Forklift certification
• RF scanner experience
• Ability to read & write clearly

Work Environment

• Must be able to operate in cold temperatures (-10 to 20 degrees).
