Forklift Driver - Belvidere, IL

As a part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for storage of raw material, ingredients and finished product, inbound and outbound shipments and supporting production needs.

Shift hours:

• 12-hour shifts – 2 on, 5 off, 5 on, 2 off schedule
  • Day shift: 6:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • Night shift: 6:00 pm to 6:00 am
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Pay:

• $20.40 per hour with advancement opportunities
• Shift differential – Additional $2.00 per hour for night shift

  • Forklift operation within production and warehouse operations
  • Selecting, preparing, and loading product for outbound shipment per customer specifications
  • Storing raw materials, ingredients, or finished products
  • Receiving, unloading, and inspecting inbound ingredients/packaging materials
  • Participating in Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Assisting in training new employees

What you have to offer:

• High school diploma or GED
• Forklift experience; license/certification or willingness to obtain one
• Experience in manufacturing/production preferred

Physical requirements:

• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Perform physical tasks for extended periods including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting
• Work at heights using stairs, ladders, lifts, or platforms
• Wear protective clothing and equipment as required
• Adhere to grooming requirements for a food environment
• Work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet conditions
• Work around high-speed machinery
• Handle allergens present in food environments
