Job summary

Ultipro in Minnesota seeks an experienced forklift team leader to load and unload railcars and flatbed trucks outdoors, guiding a crew and ensuring precise, safe operations.

You will manage material handling, verify orders, provide customer service as needed, and uphold OSHA safety standards while applying warehouse knowledge and basic math.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy duty diesel forklift 95% of shift.
• Ensure forklift crew executes tasks safely and precisely.
• Receive, store, build, and ship loads.
• Ensure load matches order before vehicle exits yard.
• Provide customer service as necessary.
• Apply knowledge of building materials and warehouse operations.
• Maintain organized work area and adapt to routines.
• Apply basic math for calculations.
• Follow safety programs and OSHA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy duty diesel forklift 95% of shift
• Ensure forklift crew executes tasks safely and precisely
• Receive, store, build, and ship loads
• Ensure load matches order before vehicle exits yard
• Provide customer service as necessary
• Apply broad knowledge of building material products and warehouse operations
• Maintain alertness and adaptability to warehouse routines
• Understand and apply fundamental math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Maintain organized work area
• Follow safety programs and ensure OSHA compliance

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or two (2) years equivalent work experience
• Able to understand and communicate safety and work instructions
• Warehouse/yard experience with considerable physical exertion
• Able to perform duties in all weather conditions

Experience Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills
• Extensive forklift experience (Building materials industry is a plus!)
• More than five (5) years of related experience
• Technical certification or associate degree may be required
• In-depth knowledge of:
  • Building materials products
  • Warehouse operations
  • BMD products/operations
• Able to understand and apply mathematical calculations
• Demonstrated accuracy in checking, posting, counting, addition, subtraction, fractions, and linear measurement
