Job summary

Steel Technologies LLC is seeking a Truck Loader to safely and efficiently load outgoing trucks and unload incoming loads using a forklift or crane. You will multitask, stay organized, and manage time to prepare items for shipment while meeting customer expectations.

A strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork will help ensure on-time deliveries. The role requires familiarity with shipping documents, the ability to lift up to 75 pounds on occasion, and ongoing forklift/crane certification.

• Clear communication with supervisor and team to ensure safety and accuracy.
• Attention to detail for matching shipment docs to loads.

Responsibilities

• Select material for shipment from shipping/receiving documentation.
• Operate forklift and/or overhead crane to transport materials.
• Load, unload and stack materials following procedures.
• Maintain forklift certification and/or crane training.
• Pull and compare inventory tags for load accuracy.
• Sign shipping paperwork and verify sign-off processes.
• Keep truck docks and storage areas clean and safe.
