Job summary

Veolia Environnement SA seeks a Warehouse Material Handler to oversee inventory control and warehouse operations for hazardous and non-hazardous materials. You will operate forklifts, maintain records, and ensure safety compliance.

Ideal candidates bring forklift certification, OSHA knowledge, and at least 1 year of warehouse or chemical-handling experience, with strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of warehouse management, forklift operation, or resins and water treatment experience.
• Willingness to lift 50 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and environmental standards.
• OSHA knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments of goods using forklifts or other equipment to unload.
• Verify items received against documentation.
• Inspect items for damage before storage.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and logs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Use warehouse management systems for inventory tracking.
• Receipt, storage, issue and stock control of materials in the warehouse.
• Maintain reagent and chemical inventory in the calibration room.
• Assist Material buyer in cycle counts and yearly inventory.
• Handle hazardous chemicals and ensure proper storage.
