Job summary

Sysco in New York is seeking a warehouse associate to perform general warehouse functions, including loading, unloading, depal, receiving, put-away, and order selection in freezer, cooler, and dry environments. This role requires attention to safety and accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse.

Candidates must be 18+ years old, able to pass a functional capacity test, and comfortable working with forklifts and RF equipment. Training and certification may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a functional capacity test.
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with supervision, management and co-workers.
• Must be able to observe and to communicate those observations verbally and in written form to others responsible for the equipment operation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound foodservice product from trailers using PWMs and MHE.
• Inspect trailer cleanliness and report unsanitary conditions.
• Reconfigure inbound pallets to meet storage requirements and label pallets.
• Operate MHE and RF equipment following PWMs; ensure product rotation.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and accurate warehouse locations.
