Job summary

Veolia Water Technologies in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Material Handler to manage inventory and warehouse operations for hazardous and non-hazardous materials. You will operate forklifts, maintain records, and support safety and quality controls in a water-treatment environment.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED and 1 year of warehouse/forklift experience, with preferred AS degree in Business or Supply Chain and SAP ERP familiarity.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience and knowledge of warehouse management, forklift operation and/or resins and water treatment experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments using forklifts or other equipment and unload deliveries.
• Verify items received against documentation and inspect for damage.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct cycle counts.
• Operate and maintain warehouse equipment and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Use warehouse management systems for inventory tracking and reporting.
• Stock, issue and manage materials for plant and field use.
• Assist materials buyer in cycle counts and inventory tasks.
• Ensure proper storage of hazardous chemicals and spill kits.
• Maintain clean, organized loading and docking areas.
