Job summary

nVent is seeking a skilled shop/production associate to support crate assembly, labeling, and packaging in an on-site facility. You will measure, cut, assemble crates, and use various saws and banding equipment, while maintaining safety and quality standards in a non-air-conditioned environment.

You will read basic blueprints, verify dimensions with tape measures, operate forklifts for material handling, and collaborate with teammates to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

• Good carpentry skills and ability to read tape measures to 1/16".
• Basic blueprint reading skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to collaborate and communicate with team members.

Responsibilities

• Label IDs and determine crate dimensions with supervisor guidance.
• Cut boards to size using specified saws and assemble crates with screws.
• Secure products in crates with banding and padding.
• Operate forklift to load crates and move them to staging or trucks.
• Maintain housekeeping to keep area clear of debris.
