Job summary

Staffmark Group in Irving, TX is hiring a Forklift Associate to safely transport materials, support inventory movement, and help maintain efficient warehouse operations. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, load and unload, and ensure accurate data entry for shipments and inventory.

The role requires 1–2 years of warehouse experience, high school diploma or GED, and forklift certification if available.

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders per work orders and schedules.
• Ensure order accuracy and meet productivity and quality standards.
• Perform data entry and update inventory using WMS and computer systems.
• Package products and prepare outbound shipments with correct labeling.
• Assist with inventory cycle counts and audits.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean warehouse environment.
• Collaborate with team and other departments to improve operations.

Job Duties

• Receive, inspect, count, and accurately register incoming shipments and inventory.
• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
• Operate manual and electric pallet jacks as needed.
• Sort, stock, and organize products on racks, shelves, and designated storage locations.
• Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders according to work orders and shipping schedules.
• Ensure order accuracy and meet productivity and quality standards.
• Perform basic data entry and update inventory records using warehouse management systems and computer applications.
• Package products and prepare outbound shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
• Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and inventory management activities.
• Follow all company safety policies and warehouse operating procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to support efficient warehouse operations.
• Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to load, unload, move, stack, and organize palletized materials.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and safe equipment operation.
• Ability to accurately identify inventory, shipping documentation, and storage locations.
• Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and commitment to workplace safety.
• 1-2 years of warehouse experience preferred.
• Previous forklift operating experience required.
• Forklift certification preferred; ability to obtain certification if required.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
• Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
• Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Forklift Associate.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
