Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Forklift Operator in Dallas, TX. The role requires operating forklifts, loading/unloading, and ensuring accurate inventory using RF scanners and WMS. You must meet safety standards and pass required screenings.

Pay rate is $17.00 per hour with all shifts available. This Temp-to-Hire position offers benefits and opportunities for advancement in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Must have forklift certification.
• Minimum 2 years forklift operating experience in a warehouse or distribution setting.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Experience using RF scanners and WMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to move, load, unload, stage and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload trailers following safety procedures.
• Verify shipments for accuracy, quantity and condition.
• Use RF scanners and WMS to track inventory and maintain records.
• Complete daily forklift inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure timely order fulfillment.

Education Requirements

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of forklift operating experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Current forklift certification required.
• Experience using RF scanners, handheld devices, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Previous experience in high-volume warehouse operations required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in food-grade, manufacturing, distribution, or logistics facilities.
• Strong attention to detail when verifying product counts, shipments, and inventory accuracy.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with team members.
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and productivity goals.
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as business demands require.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Capable of standing, walking, bending, reaching, and performing physical warehouse tasks throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse where temperatures may vary by season.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Job Duties

• Safely operate forklifts to move, load, unload, stage, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload trailers while following all company and site-specific safety procedures.
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, quantity, and product condition.
• Utilize RF scanners and WMS technology to track inventory and maintain accurate records.
• Complete daily forklift inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Work closely with warehouse associates and leadership to ensure efficient operations and on-time order fulfillment.
