Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a Forklift Operator in Temple, TX to safely transport materials and support warehouse operations. The role includes operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts, scanning products, and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Weekend shift from 6 AM to 6 PM, Friday through Sunday, with competitive weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with 2+ years of forklift experience; certification is preferred or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, move, stack and transport products.
• Receive, store, and stage inventory to support shipping/receiving.
• Use scanners and warehouse systems to track inventory and print labels.
• Complete inventory transactions and cycle counts.
• Ensure product rotation and inventory accuracy.
• Perform daily forklift safety inspections and report issues promptly.
• Maintain warehouse readiness for customer, FDA, and quality inspections.
• Communicate safety incidents and operational concerns to supervisors.

Education Requirements

Experience Requirements

• Familiarity with inventory management systems, barcode scanners, cycle counts, and inventory control processes.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while meeting productivity goals.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to operate powered industrial equipment safely throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift, move, stack, and transport materials in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling activities.
• Ability to work in a shipping, receiving, distribution, or warehouse setting.
• Must be able to pass required background screening and drug testing.

Job Duties

• Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment to load, unload, move, stack, and transport products and materials.
• Receive, store, and stage inventory to support shipping and receiving operations.
• Use scanners and warehouse systems to track inventory and print product labels.
• Complete inventory transactions, cycle counts, and required warehouse documentation.
• Ensure proper product rotation and inventory accuracy.
• Perform daily forklift safety inspections and report equipment concerns promptly.
• Maintain warehouse readiness for customer, FDA, and quality inspections.
• Communicate safety incidents, inventory discrepancies, and operational concerns to supervisors.
• Support general warehouse housekeeping and perform additional duties as assigned.
