Fork Truck Operator

Position Overview

This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will handle parts and semi-finished or final products in the warehouse or to/from the production line. Your daily tasks will include sorting and arranging materials for storage according to guidelines, and performing routine activities as per established procedures.

You will be mainly responsible for:

1. Sorting and arranging materials for storage as per guidelines.
2. Executing routine activities according to established procedures.
3. Picking components from stock for dispatch and final packing on pallets.
4. Transporting boxes and managing various collection, storage, and warehouse activities.
5. Following all ABB safety policies, including wearing proper PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, cut-resistant gloves, and safety sleeves when required.

Qualifications for the role

• Ability to understand production orders, schedules, and instructions related to your tasks.
• Certification on forklift operation required every 3 years.
• Experience with equipment such as forklifts, Bigfoot, electric and manual pallet jacks, and controls with buttons.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform additional tasks as needed.
• Must have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
