Job Description

Pickup and delivery of cargo to and from various destinations usually within proximity of the consolidation/distribution center. The loading and unloading of trailers utilizing the same techniques, technology, and procedures as a dock worker. Actual duties and schedule may vary depending on terminal location.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cargo.
• Perform tasks such as check-in, tractor/trailer inspection, tractor setup, and cargo pickup and delivery.
• Exercise independent judgment regarding trailer assembly and disassembly to utilize time, resources, and physical effort effectively while complying with all weight laws.
• Operate a forklift as needed.
• Complete routine paperwork and log loading sheets properly.

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED.
• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience (training available for less).
• Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, and hazardous materials endorsements, with no automatic restriction.
• Minimum 21 years old.
• Good, stable work record and safe driving record.
• Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug screening and meet medical requirements.
• Shift hours vary by location and may include days, nights, and weekends; flexibility is required.
