Job summary

Walor North America seeks an Inspector for its QMI Forging team in Columbus. You will perform visual and dimensional inspections and segregate non-conforming products, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

The role requires 2+ years in production or inspection, metrology knowledge, and NDT familiarity. On-site work with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth within a diverse, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience in production, sorting or dimensional inspection.
  • Expertise in basic metrology equipment.
  • Basic understanding of ISO/TS 16949.
  • NDT method knowledge.
  • Strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection of components.
  • Detect and segregate non-conforming products per criteria.
  • Adhere to ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and activities.
  • Communicate quality findings to Walor staff.
  • Assist in training new or junior coworkers.

Job description

Walor North America is looking for an Inspector to join its QMI Forging team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing effective and efficient visual and dimensional inspection, and to detect and segregate non-conforming products.

What you will do
  • Adherence to federal, state and local laws and regulations, internal policies and other applicable rules including ISO-TS 16949, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements
  • Continuous improvement of work and activities
  • Represent the company in a professional and respectful manner
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain a consistent teamwork mentality
  • Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Adherence to 5S principles
  • Visual sorting and segregation of product based on existing criteria
  • Dimensional inspection and segregation of product based on existing criteria
  • NDT inspection and segregation of product based on existing criteria
  • Accurate completion of documentation on activities performed
  • Communication of quality activities to appropriate Walor staff
  • Assist in training new or less experienced co-workers
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
What you will bring
