Job summary

Walor North America is seeking a Machine Operator to join its Billet Prep team in Columbus, Ohio. The role focuses on improving product quality and press efficiency, with a 7:00am–3:15pm schedule, Monday through Friday.

You will operate machines, load steel via overhead crane, and perform routine maintenance while adhering to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, print reading, and basic math skills, plus the ability to work on-site on the

  • Operate machine and secondary equipment, including feeding material manually.
  • Load steel into sawing equipment with overhead crane.
  • Perform material handling with a forklift.
  • Support department personnel and tasks.
  • Measure and document product quality.
  • Perform operator-level maintenance tasks.
  • Sort non-conforming product as required.
  • Clean equipment and surrounding areas.
  • Assist with special projects as directed by supervisor.
  • Adhere to 5S principles and report maintenance issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.

Machine Operator Forging - First Shift

Walor North America is looking for a Machine Operator to join its Billet Prep team. In this role, you will be responsible for improving the quality of product and press efficiency for our Columbus, Ohio facility. This position will work 7:00am - 3:15pm, Monday through Friday.

What you will do
  • Operation of machine and secondary equipment, including feeding material manually
  • Loading of steel into sawing equipment as required using overhead crane
  • Material handling with a forklift
  • Support department personnel and tasks
  • Measuring/Documenting of product produced to ensure quality standards
  • Performing required operator level maintenance tasks
  • Sorting non-conforming product (as required)
  • Cleaning equipment and surrounding areas
  • Special projects as determined by area manager/supervisor/team lead
  • Adherence to 5S principles
  • Reporting/Documenting equipment related maintenance issues to supervisor/maintenance department
  • Supply maintenance request documentation for breakdowns
  • Fulfilling thoroughly all tasks within the scope of defined qualifications and responsibilities
  • Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Adherence to all written and verbal directives of the manager/supervisor/team lead
  • Adherence to Stop, Call, Wait protocol
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
