Job summary

Cornwell Quality Tools is hiring a Forging Hammer Operator in our on-site Pennsylvania facility. You will set up and operate Bradley hammer and three drop hammers to forge metal parts, using calipers, micrometers and gauges to ensure specifications.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a forging facility or similar environment.
• Ability to read work routings and use measuring tools such as gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
• Capable of sustaining alert concentration on machine operations and performing setups with limited supervision.
• Proven ability to produce quality parts with minimal scrap.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Bradley hammer and three drop hammers to forge metal parts per work orders.
• Place and remove parts from the furnace, ensuring proper heating and handling.
• Operate drop hammers to shape parts, minimizing scrap and verifying dimensions with gauges.
• Perform routine maintenance on hammers and punch presses and keep the workspace safe and organized.
