Job summary

iWorkforce Solutions LP seeks a Forge Shop Supervisor to direct the Turbine Forge Department on shift, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency targets are met. You will lead hourly teams, plan material flow, and coordinate with Engineering and Metallurgy to maintain part quality.

The role requires 3–5 years in heavy industry, supervisory experience preferred in a union environment, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Evening/overnight shifts available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree preferred with emphasis on manufacturing or engineering.
• Experience leading an hourly workforce in heavy industry or manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Proficiency with standard office software (Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook) and data systems (Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Direct shift operations in the Turbine Forge Department to meet safety, quality, throughput, and cost goals.
• Train and supervise hourly staff to improve first-time yield and part quality.
• Coordinate on-shift activities including material verification and furnace loading.
• Communicate with Engineering and Metallurgy to maintain part quality and resolve issues.
• Monitor and reduce daily costs; drive continuous improvement and reduce waste.
• Verify process adherence and forge conformance through paperwork reviews.
• Enforce PPE requirements and maintain a safe work environment.
• Manage daily operations and prioritize tasks with input from multiple departments.
• Oversee equipment availability in coordination with Maintenance.
• Support cross-team collaboration to ensure smooth material flow to downstream operations.
• Be flexible with shifts and travel for training or coordination with contractors.
