Job summary

iWorkforce Solutions is seeking a Forge Shop Supervisor to lead the Turbine Forge Department on shift. You will direct safety, quality, throughput, and cost targets, while ensuring procedural compliance and timely material flow.

The role requires 3–5 years in heavy industry, supervisory experience (union a plus), and strong collaboration with Engineering, Metallurgy, and Maintenance to optimize performance and reduce waste. Shifts include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in heavy industry manufacturing.
Supervisory experience within a union environment is advantageous.
Excellent human relations skills with organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to drive change and continuous improvement processes.

Responsibilities

Direct shift operations in the Turbine Forge Department to meet safety, quality, throughput, and cost targets.
Train and supervise hourly workforce to ensure procedural compliance and improve first-time yield.
Coordinate on-shift activities: material verification, furnace loading, and downstream movement for throughput.
Communicate with Engineering and Metallurgy to ensure proper communication and maintain part quality.
Minimize daily costs and drive continuous improvement to reduce waste and meet cost targets.
Review process paperwork to verify forge conformance and adherence to procedures.
Ensure PPE compliance and a safe work environment across shifts.
Coordinate with maintenance to ensure equipment availability and uptime.
Manage daily operations and prioritize tasks across departments.
