ELLWOOD Crankshaft Group (ECG) in Sharon, PA is seeking a Forge Operator II to coordinate forge heating, material handling, and die changes on a multi-directional forging press work-center. The role supports die assembly, in-process inspection, and flash removal while maintaining safety and production goals.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and experience with forging or similar manufacturing equipment, plus strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have knowledge and experience with forging or other applicable manufacturing equipment.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills with strong math abilities.

Responsibilities

• Daily coordination and execution of forge heating and material handling activities based on the forge schedule.
• Coordinate safe and efficient set-up of clam shell forging furnaces per product-set requirements.
• Coordinate with the press operator to ensure safe transfer of bar material using crane automation.
• Provide input during engineering reviews and development of new products and processes.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues with maintenance, engineering, and forging crew.
