Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) is seeking an entry-level fabrication support worker to assist forging crews in producing parts per customer orders.

The role involves basic reading of shop travelers, procedures and daily reports, operating dies, furnaces, and stamps, and maintaining equipment cleanliness. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for a technical school certificate and 1+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certificate from technical school preferred but not required.
• 1+ years of related work experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Support forging crew by performing a variety of tasks in fabrication.
• Know roles and responsibilities of press/hammer crew members during operation.
• Read and understand shop travelers, procedures, and daily production reports.
• Set up and use impression stamps; sweep dies and lubricate dies; operate furnace controls.
• Maintain a clean work area; comply with PCC rules and safety policies.
• Ask for clarification on policies when unsure; perform other duties as assigned.
