S uperior Forge & Steel Corporationis currently hiring aForge Annealing Helperfor our operation in Lima, Ohio. The Forge Annealing Helper is a member of our Forge Department responsible for assisting with forge press operations. This will be a 3rd shift position.

Competitive wages starting at $22.20/hr. Benefit/insurance package, 8 paid holidays, 401K, PTO, Vacation, Paid Relief Days, $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS, and this position is eligible for the Production Incentive Program.

Responsibilities

• Review and verification of forging assignment
• Review and verification of ingots scheduled to strip
• Stripping ingots and loading for pre-forge furnace cycle
• Operation of remote controlled overhead crane and forge furnaces
• Movement of ingots/forgings between furnace and forge press
• Start up and shut down of forge press and manipulators
• Making forging sticks
• Hot cutting forgings
• Assisting during forge press operation
• General department housekeeping and equipment preventative maintenance
• Adherence to all company safety policies, procedures, work instructions, and standards
• Perform other department duties, as assigned

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions

• Must be capable of lifting 60-80lbs occasionally throughout shift
• Exposed to seasonal temperature changes
• Manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and vibration

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous foundry experience prefer
• Must be able to read/interpret blueprints and tape measure/ruler
• Strong attention to detail
• Basic problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Classification: Hourly
