Job summary

Interfor invites motivated students to join our Forestry Internship in Port Angeles, Washington. You’ll work side-by-side with experienced foresters, gaining hands-on experience in planning, field operations, safety, and sustainable forest management during a May start.

• Enrolled in a Forestry related post-secondary degree or diploma program such as Forestry, Natural Resources, Environmental Sciences and/or Conservation.
• Basic understanding of safety rules and regulations.
• Physically fit and able to work in challenging weather and terrain conditions.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Forestry Intern, Port Angeles, Washington

Ready to take what you’re learning in school and put it to work? At Interfor, we’re looking for future leaders who are curious, hands‑on, and eager to learn. You’ll work alongside experienced forestry professionals, build practical skills, and gain a better understanding of how planning, fieldwork, safety, and responsible forest management support our woodlands operations. If you enjoy working outdoors, solving problems, and learning how forests are managed from planning through operations, this could be the summer opportunity for you!

This is an on‑site internship with an anticipated start date in May. Ideally, you’ll be available for a 4 to 8 month term.

• Salaries starting from $3,700 per month based on year in school


• Temporary living allowance for interns relocating to the area for the role.
