Job summary

JPMorgan Natural Capital in Oregon is seeking a Forestry Field Office Intern for a 10-week, full-time summer program starting June 2027. You'll work alongside experienced forestry professionals, supporting harvest planning, silviculture, inventory, land stewardship, and emerging forestry technologies while gaining hands-on field experience outdoors.

Responsibilities include assisting with planning, data collection, GIS and drone operations, timber cruising, and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an accredited Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in Forestry or related field.
Basic understanding of forest management, silviculture, timber harvesting, and inventory concepts.
Proficiency with GPS and geospatial data applications.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

Support harvest unit layout, planning, administration, and monitoring activities.
Assist with silviculture planning, implementation, and regeneration program administration.
Utilize GIS, GPS, mobile data collection tools, and drone operations.
Participate in timber cruising, inventory collection, auditing, and regeneration surveys.
Support road construction, maintenance, and access management activities.
Contribute to environmental stewardship, sustainability, and ESG initiatives.
