Job summary

JPMorgan Natural Capital seeks a Forestry Field Office Intern to gain hands-on experience in timberland management, silviculture, and field operations. This paid, full‑time internship runs for up to 10 weeks starting in June 2027 and is based near Junction City, Oregon.

You will work with experienced foresters, using GIS, GPS, and data collection tools while supporting environmental stewardship and land management projects. Outdoor work is a key component of the role.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in Forestry or related field.
• Basic knowledge of forest management, silviculture, timber harvesting practices, and forest inventory concepts.
• Basic GPS knowledge and geospatial data applications.

Responsibilities

• Support harvest unit layout, planning, administration, and monitoring activities.
• Assist silviculture planning, implementation, and regeneration program administration.
• Utilize GIS, GPS, mobile data collection tools, and drone operations.
• Participate in timber cruising, inventory collection, auditing, and regeneration surveys.
• Support road construction, maintenance, and access management activities.
• Assist with environmental stewardship, sustainability, and ESG initiatives.
• Contribute to recreation management and land stewardship projects.
• Monitor field activities and communicate environmental, operational, or safety concerns.
