Job summary

Steigerwaldt Land Services, Inc. seeks a Forestry/Environmental Technician - LTE in Wisconsin, with 95% field work and some travel to Hayward or Tomahawk. Expect summer 2027 start. Join a team dedicated to forestry, environmental services, and client-focused project delivery.

You will mark timber, inventory resources, delineate boundaries, and support wetland and carbon inventory efforts while working in diverse field conditions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 2- or 4-year degree in forestry or natural resource management.
• Ability to travel up to 25–40 percent or more.

Responsibilities

• Field work in all weather conditions (roughly 95% field work).
• Timber marking and timber sale setup/administration.
• Harvest boundary delineation and timber inventory.
• Carbon inventory and wetland delineation assistance.
• Tree farm maintenance: mowing, shearing, pruning, harvest.
• Invasive species treatment and site maintenance.
• Periodic travel on projects may exceed ±50% (in and out of state).
• Support on Critical Project Response Team as needed.
