Job summary

Steigerwaldt Land Services, Inc. is seeking a Forestry/Environmental Technician LTE for Hayward, WI or Tomahawk, WI. The role is summer 2027 with limited-term, full-time employment, primarily field-based in Forest Operations and Environmental departments.

Entry-level, though prior forestry exposure is helpful. 95% field work in all weather, with travel may exceed 50% in/out of state. The ideal candidate is pursuing a forestry or natural resource degree, can travel, and holds a valid driver’s

Qualifications

• Pursuing forestry or natural resource management degree.
• Willing to travel up to 25–40 percent or more.
• Valid driver’s license with a personal vehicle.
• Experience in field data collection is a plus.
• Willing to work in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• 95% field work; daily and weekend field tasks.
• Timber marking and sale setup/administration.
• Harvest boundary delineation and timber inventory.
• Carbon inventory and tree farm activity tasks.
• Wetland delineation assistance and invasive species work.
• Supporting project needs and occasional travel.
