Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Utility Forester Work Planner to oversee planning, scheduling, reporting, and project management for vegetation programs along rights-of-way.

This full-time non-exempt role requires experience in forestry-related fields, tree identification, and MS Office proficiency. The position includes comprehensive benefits and opportunities to work with utility stakeholders in Washington state.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Work experience in forestry-related fields is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect rights-of-way to assess vegetation conditions and maintenance needs.
• Assist with bid package maps and work manifests development.
• Research easement widths, rights, and restrictions.
• Meet landowners to explain vegetation management work.
• Mark work in the field where required.
• Respond to public concerns and questions about the work.
• Assist in public relations material development.
• Coordinate with contractors on work specifications and requirements.
• Inspect contractor work for compliance with specifications.
• Support contractor management during storm restoration operations.
• Assist in special projects as assigned by the utility.
• Obtain permissions from property owners to trim/remove trees and apply herbicides.
