Job summary

EY seeks an experienced insurance claims Manager to lead complex engagements across property, BI, cyber, and other commercial losses. You will guide analysis, develop claim strategies, and work with clients, brokers, insurers, and attorneys from loss assessment to resolution.

Travel to client sites and in-office presence required; you will mentor staff, manage budgets, and contribute to practice growth while maintaining high professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, risk management, insurance, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in insurance claims, forensic accounting, dispute advisory, consulting, or a related field.
• Experience managing complex commercial insurance claims or insurance‑related consulting engagements.
• Strong understanding of property damage, business interruption, extra expense, cyber, builder's risk, or other commercial insurance claims.
• Experience supervising engagement teams and reviewing work products.
• Achieved a professional designation, such as CPA, CFA, CFE.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information to executive‑level stakeholders.
• Proven project management and client relationship management experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
• Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.

• Lead analysis, preparation, and presentation of complex commercial insurance claims for policyholders.
• Oversee engagement teams, evaluating financial and operational impacts and submitting claims.
• Coordinate responses to carrier information requests and manage engagement economics and timelines.
• Mentor staff and senior team members, develop juniors, and contribute to practice growth.
• Build client relationships and deliver high-quality services on time and within budget.
• Travel and maintain presence at client sites and in-office.”
