Job summary

Dean Dorton’s Forensic and Valuation Services (FVS) team seeks a consultant to perform complex financial analyses, valuations, and litigation support. You will mentor associates, manage portions of engagements, and contribute to knowledge sharing while expanding leadership and client-facing skills.

The role emphasizes professional integrity, collaboration across service lines, and delivering high‑quality expert reports and courtroom materials.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
CPA designation preferred (or actively pursuing).
Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in public accounting, valuation, consulting, or forensic accounting.
Strong technical foundation in valuation methods, financial modeling, and forensic analysis.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and written/oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed business valuations for transaction, tax, financial reporting, and litigation purposes.
Conduct forensic investigations involving fraud, economic damages, and financial misconduct.
Analyze complex financial data, business operations, and tax filings to identify trends, risks, and key value drivers.
Build and refine valuation and damages models using advanced Excel functions and financial modeling techniques.
Assist in developing client deliverables, including expert reports, financial exhibits, and visual presentations.
