Job summary

Commonwealth of Kentucky in LaGrange, KY is seeking a Therapy Program Coordinative Assistant to support the Recovery Services team. The role involves supervising Therapy Program Assistants and Behavioral Health Technicians, coordinating patient groups, and ensuring compliance with documentation and safety protocols.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of therapeutic or patient care experience and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Three years of therapeutic or patient care experience.
• High school graduate.
• College will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of two years.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the work of Therapy Program Assistants and Behavioral Health Technicians within the recovery services department; trains staff on duties per policy and directs assignments to ensure coverage.
• Coordinates staffing of and leads patient group sessions per treatment plans; contributes to patient recovery by leading psychoeducational skill development.
• Coordinates staffing and provides support and supervision to patients during ADL/IADL care and safety monitoring; assigns escorts to groups and appointments on/off grounds; uses therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques.
• Ensures documentation related to patient participation and progress meets timelines and guidelines; leads quality improvement initiatives related to direct patient care.
• Collaborates with treatment team to plan and provide treatment; attends required staff and treatment team meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
