Addiction Recovery Care, LLC is seeking a Counselor to join our clinical team in Kentucky. The role focuses on direct client services, including initial assessments, diagnosis, and therapy sessions, while documenting care and placement decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Drug and Alcohol Counseling or Master’s in Clinical Counseling or Social Work.
• Active Kentucky counseling license recognized by the state for Substance Use Disorder counseling (CADC/LCADC/LPCA/LPCC/CSW/LCSW/AMFT/LMFT).
• Minimum 2 years in administrative/management settings with performance improvement experience.
• Strong communication skills across management and counseling staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient services, including initial assessments, diagnosis, and documentation for placement decisions.
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions and document each event.
• Communicate medical necessity using ASAM guidelines.
• Complete appeals processes with third‑party payers as needed.
• Coordinate with program administration and staff.
• Organize development and training in diagnosis, assessment, therapy, and charting.
• Maintain professional and caring attitudes toward staff, patients, and guests.
• Evaluate impact of interventions on the therapeutic milieu.
