Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an Associate in our Forensic Technology practice to apply analytical and organizational skills on active cases and internal initiatives, including recruiting, business development, and service offering innovation. You will work with experienced team members on engagements involving bribery, fraud, money laundering, disputes, and data breach response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, required; focus in Accounting, Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Information Systems, preferred.
• Leadership experience, preferred.
• Experience with SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI) preferred.
• Fluent in one or more languages other than English, preferred.
• Ability to work with a high degree of professionalism and autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Provides data analytics services to a variety of clients, including outside counsel, regulators, and companies involved in litigation, investigation, dispute, regulatory, and compliance matters
• Contributes to forensic engagements related to fraud, anti-money laundering, insurance risks, foreign corrupt practices act (FCPA), disputes, and other matters
• Develops working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and communicates effectively
• Supports ETL processes by forensically extracting, cleaning, transforming, and analyzing data for in-depth data analytics for big datasets
• Performs analyses and takes ownership of assigned workstreams from data gathering through documentation and delivery
• Audits own work product as well as other team members’ work to ensure quality
• Works on international projects with potential domestic and/or international travel
• Develops expertise in technical programs (SQL, Power BI, Tableau, R, Python)
