Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an Associate in our Forensic Technology practice in Boston to begin using their analytical background on active cases and internal initiatives. You will solve problems, perform data analytics, and contribute to data-driven engagements across fraud, AML, disputes, and cyber incidents.

As you work with senior staff, you’ll develop skills in SQL, Power BI, Tableau, R, and Python while delivering high-quality client deliverables and insights with integrity and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, required; focus in Accounting, Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Information Systems, preferred
• Leadership experience, preferred
• Experience with data visualization software (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI), preferred
• Fluent in one (1) or more languages other than English, preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides data analytics services to a variety of clients, including outside counsel, regulators, and companies involved in litigation, investigation, dispute, regulatory, and compliance matters
• Contributes to forensic engagements related to fraud, anti-money laundering, insurance risks, foreign corrupt practices act (FCPA), disputes, and other matters
• Develops working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and communicates effectively
• Supports ETL processes by forensically extracting, cleaning, transforming, and analyzing data for in-depth data analytics for big datasets
• Performs analyses and takes ownership of assigned workstreams from data gathering through documentation and delivery
• Audits own work product as well as other team members’ work to ensure quality
