Job summary

The State of Illinois Department of Human Services seeks a Social Worker IV in Pekin, Illinois to conduct pre-placement evaluations for individuals ordered to custody. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work is required.
• Clinical social work license from the Department of Professional Regulation is required.
• Three (3) years of supervised post master’s clinical social work practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-placement evaluations for individuals found Unfit to Stand Trial (UST) or Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI) and ordered to DHS custody.
• Prepare comprehensive written reports with findings and facility recommendations.
• Coordinate with Forensic Services, jails, courts, sheriffs, attorneys, treatment providers and DHS facilities to obtain records and schedule evaluations.
• Provide consultation and testimony regarding evaluations when requested or legally required.
• Maintain accurate documentation in FDS and other required records; manage case status.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of duties.
