Job summary

Nashville General Hospital's Our Kids Center seeks a licensed social worker to perform psychosocial evaluations and crisis intervention for children suspected of experiencing abuse. You will collaborate with law enforcement, CPS, and medical teams while preparing detailed reports and, when needed, providing court testimony.

The role requires an MSW with LCSW eligibility, plus 3+ years of child-interview experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s in Social Work.
• Eligibility for licensure as an LCSW.
• Minimum of 3 years interviewing or working with children in child sexual abuse.
• Desire to work with traumatized children and families.
• Understanding of child sexual abuse dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Assist in triage decision-making.
• Collect caregiver information and children's medical histories.
• Prepare children and adolescents for medical examinations.
• Assist medical providers as necessary.
• Provide crisis intervention services.
• Conduct psychosocial evaluations and provide recommendations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, CPS, and other partners during investigations.
• Write detailed reports and provide court testimony when required.
• Adapt interactions to meet developmental, cultural, and special needs.
• Participate in on-call patient care after hours, nights and weekends.
