Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a Program Supervisor IV (Director of Maximum Security) for Vernon State Hospital. The role leads the Security Department, administering operations, risk management, and policy implementation to ensure safety for patients, staff, and the public.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited college is preferred.
• Supervisory experience.
• 5 Years of Experience Leading a Security department.
• Experience writing policy, procedures, reports, or plans.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Security Department in compliance with Vernon State Hospital standards and policy.
• Provide leadership and oversight for Clinical Security Officer positions and staff.
• Coordinate investigations of threats to ensure a secure hospital environment.
• Measure and monitor performance and present data for problem solving.
• Attend regular work schedules and adapt to overtime; support disaster response and COOP activation.
