The position emphasizes regulatory compliance, staff supervision, and program development, with a focus on recovery-oriented, evidence-based practices, budget oversight, and disaster readiness support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; and two (2) years’ progressive experience in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Five (5) years of work experience in programing services for persons with mental health diagnoses, including at least two (2) years in a role with duties relating to evidenced based treatments.
  • Two years of experience with the standards, applicable rules, and laws related to CMS conditions of participation, The Joint Commission standards or other acute or hospital settings.

Responsibilities

  • Attends work on a regular basis and may be asked to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Supervises the unit clinical programming and provide a psychiatric rehabilitation program that reduces length of stay necessary to meet discharge criteria.
  • Plans, organizes, and directs daily administrative functioning of the unit to ensure efficient operation.
  • Hires/terminates/participates in resolution of employee complaints as they flow through the appropriate chain of command.
  • Promotes program excellence through evidence-based practices, benchmarking, and creativity.
