Qualifications

• RN license (state or eNLC) required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire date.
• 40-hour SANE training completed; 25-hour competency-based training documented at department level.
• BSN preferred or ASN/Diploma with BSN pursued within 5 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to sexual assault victims within a shift, using nursing process and scope of practice.
• Assumes responsibility, uses clinical judgment, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team.
• Develops care plans, coordinates and evaluates patient outcomes with urgency and safety in mind.
• Mentors staff and students, promotes unit mission and open communication.
• Manages priorities based on patient acuity and resources; participates in continuous professional development.
