Job summary

Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) invites applications for the Registered Nurse Specialist Forensic, 3rd shift, at the Developmental Disabilities Defendant Program in Chattahoochee, FL. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to residents ordered by the Court and support medical/psychiatric services on a 24/7 facility basis.

The role requires licensure, professional nursing experience, and ability to manage medications, patient safety, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse and required nursing experience as stated in minimum qualifications.
• Ability to perform direct nursing care and emergency nursing services.
• Experience with medication administration and MAR documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional medical care, health, safety, and well-being of residents.
• Perform direct nursing care and document assessments and treatments.
• Administer medications per physician orders and maintain MAR records.
• Assist physicians with examinations and coordinate orders for treatments.
• Document incidents and ensure continuity of resident care.
