Job summary

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services seeks a Forensic Psychologist to join the Southern Virginia Mental Health Institute in Danville, VA. The role focuses on forensic assessments, diagnosis and treatment planning for individuals in courts and jails within a 72-bed state psychiatric hospital.

This is a full-time, state service position with a salary range of $126,321–$166,723, plus an $8,000 sign-on bonus for new state service employees, and access to comprehensive state

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from APA-accredited program.
• Completion of a predoctoral internship accredited by APA or equivalent as required for licensure eligibility.
