Job summary

State of Colorado is seeking a Psychologist I to support forensic evaluations across Colorado in collaboration with the Office of Civil and Forensic Mental Health. The role involves conducting court-ordered assessments, writing detailed reports, and offering testimony as required.

Qualifications

• Current, valid licensure as a Psychologist by the Colorado State Board of Psychologist Examiners.
• One year of experience as a licensed psychologist or permitted psychologist candidate.
• Special Qualification: Valid licensure as a Psychologist.

Responsibilities

• Complete the equivalent of 12 court-ordered evaluations for competency, restoration, or sanity per month with written reports.
• Provide expert testimony to courts as needed and consult with supervisors on difficult cases.
• Develop and deliver professional opinions to courts on competency, restoration, and mental condition.
• Attend annual and ongoing competency training to stay current with forensic best practices.
• Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned by OCFMH.
