Job summary

TexasHealth and Human Services Commission (HHSC) invites applications for a Psychologist III-Forensic Evaluator at the Rio Grande State Center in Harlingen. You will lead forensic evaluations (46B/46C/Chapter 55), assess violence risk, and supervise trainees within a multidisciplinary team.

Must hold a doctoral degree in psychology and be licensed as a psychologist in TX or reciprocity. English and Spanish bilingualism preferred; telework not available.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited university.
• Must be licensed as a Psychologist in Texas or reciprocity state.
• One year of supervised experience in forensic and standard assessments.
• Preferred bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Perform 46B/46C/Chapter 55 competency evaluations and violence risk assessments.
• Design and coordinate forensic activities and programs.
• Provide expert testimony and detailed documentation for courts.
• Supervise trainees and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans.
