Job summary

PrimeCare Medical is seeking a Psychiatric Technician to support the behavioral health program at the Berks County Jail in Leesport, PA. This full-time, on-site role runs Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, with hourly pay of $21.00 to $23.00.

Responsibilities include clinical monitoring, coordinating and implementing behavioral health services, leading psycho-educational groups, documenting in the EMR, and assisting with admissions and transfers under NCCHC/ACA/MCCS standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a mental health/human services field is required.
• Minimum of one year clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement the behavioral health program.
• Engage inmates/patients in psycho-educational groups and individual encounters.
• Assist with suicide risk detection and escalation to supervisory staff.
• Coordinate admission and placement of inmates/patients in behavioral health facilities.
• Document clinical services in the EMR accurately and timely.
• Monitor inmates/patients on segregation units and manage supplies.
• Obtain records from previous treatment providers when needed.
