Job summary

The State of Connecticut DMHAS seeks a PSRB/Competency Monitor in Norwich to support forensic services and transition planning.

You will coordinate discharge plans, collaborate with treatment teams, and ensure continuity of care across settings. A Master’s degree and three years of experience are required; licensure preferred. Work hours are 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a mental health or related health care discipline.
• Three years of experience providing assessment, treatment planning, and direct treatment services.
• Licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred.
• May travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation and consultation to inpatient treatment teams.
• Collaborate with consulting psychiatrists and DMHAS staff.
• Monitor and evaluate PSRB orders and restoration to competency.
• Prepare statutorily required six-month reports and other clinical reports.
• Testify before PSRB hearings or state courts as needed.
