Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Forensic Physician to work across custody healthcare and forensic examinations at Police Headquarters, Dundee. The role offers a 24/7 rota and a 3-month temporary post with 4 sessions per week.

Applicants with an MRCGP are preferred, but non-GP candidates with relevant forensic experience will be considered. Postgraduate exams via the Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine are available, with career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• MRCGP qualification or relevant GP experience welcomed.
• Experience in Forensic Medicine is essential.
• Postgraduate examinations available via Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine, with opportunities for career development.

Responsibilities

• Perform forensic medical examinations and assessments of adults and children.
• Work across custody healthcare and forensic examinations within a police environment.
• Be part of a team covering a 24/7 rota, including every second weekend (4 sessions).
