Qualifications

• Registered nurse or paramedic with valid NMC/HCPC registration.
• Experience in custody/forensic settings preferred.
• Ability to assess detainees and provide frontline healthcare in custody environments.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls as directed by the call centre.
• Conduct clinical assessments and deliver care in police custody.
• Assess fitness for detention, interview, release, or transfer.
• Provide healthcare interventions for minor illnesses/injuries and refer for serious conditions.
• Perform forensic examinations and document injuries or collect DNA evidence when required.
• Manage injuries of police officers or staff and collect specimens per legal requirements
• Work within relevant legislation and maintain accurate clinical records.
• Promote Equality and Diversity, Information Governance, and Safeguarding.
